What is Heartworm?

Lyme Disease

Lyme Disease is named for a town in Connecticut -- Lyme, Connecticut, where there was an early outbreak of this disease and studies have shown that approximately 90% of lyme disease cases occur on the east coast. Lyme is caused by a bacteria called borrelia burgdorferi, which is passed to dogs through a bite from the deer tick. Antibiotics will reduce the signs of the disease but it does not clear the spirochetes from the body. Distemper - Parvo - Lepto

These are diseases that we vaccinate for when our rotties are pups. The following link is very good for explaining these diseases. If you have a pup, be sure he is vaccinated properly so he won't catch any of these terrible diseases.
